Job Summary
Keyrus is looking for a full-time Data Governance Specialist with strong potential to join the Data & AI Office.

This position is Hybrid in Lisbon - São Domingos de Rana / Cascais

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Data Office to support the implementation of the Group’s Data Transformation Program, with a strong focus on Data Governance capabilities enabled by Microsoft Purview;
Support the integration of Data Governance practices across the data lifecycle, leveraging Microsoft Purview features such as data cataloguing, classification, lineage, and access insights;
Work closely with IT and Data Architecture teams to support the configuration, integration, and optimisation of the Data Governance platform (Microsoft Purview);
Contribute to continuous improvement by monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies related to Data Governance;
Support the continuous development and maintenance of the Data Catalogue, ensuring accurate and updated information on data discovery, metadata, lineage, and usage guidelines;
Contribute to the definition and monitoring of KPIs and data quality metrics aligned with Data Governance initiatives;
Support the definition, implementation, and compliance of Data Governance policies, standards, and best practices, including participation in regular compliance assessments;
Work closely with the CISO and DPO to ensure alignment between Data Governance and Data Protection, including Privacy and Security requirements;
Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and key stakeholders to understand data requirements and promote a pragmatic and collaborative approach to Data Governance;
Support training and enablement for data owners, stewards, custodians, and other employees on Data Governance principles, tools, and practices;
Contribute to organisational change management, reinforcing data as a strategic and valuable business asset.
Requirements for the role
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Management, Economics, Business, Finance, or equivalent;
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including cataloguing, classification, lineage, metadata management, and policy implementation;
Experience with other governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) is a plus.
Strong understanding of broader Data Management domains, such as:
Data Quality
Metadata Management
Master Data Management (MDM)
Data Privacy & Security
Experience defining Data Governance operating models, roles (e.g., data owners and data stewards), and processes, and embedding them across business and technical teams;
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and seniority levels;
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Azure, Data Governance, Data Management) are considered an advantage.
Fluent in English
Fluent in Portuguese
Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
