📋 What You'll Architect

As an AI Engineer in an AWS environment, you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining technology, data, intelligence, and human decision-making.

This role is both technical and consultative, perfect for someone who can combine hands-on development, cloud engineering, solution design, and client delivery. We're looking for professionals who can move AI initiatives from experimentation to enterprise-scale production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Generative AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock, including Foundation Models, Knowledge Bases, RAG patterns, and agent-based architectures

• Build, deploy, and maintain production-ready AI applications and services within AWS cloud environments

• Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and orchestrate workflows through AWS Step Functions

• Containerise and deploy workloads using Amazon ECS and AWS Fargate

• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems and data platforms, including Amazon RDS and Snowflake

• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures for enterprise AI applications

• Implement infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices

• Apply AWS IAM security principles, roles, permissions, and governance standards

• Develop REST APIs and backend services to support AI-powered applications

• Support the industrialisation of GenAI use cases, transitioning solutions from PoC to production

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Architects, AI Specialists, and client stakeholders

• Contribute to technical standards, architectural decisions, and AWS/AI best practices across projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

• Experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role

• Strong hands-on experience working with AWS in production environments

• Experience designing, developing, and deploying Generative AI or LLM-based applications

• Experience building scalable cloud-native applications and services

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, APIs, and distributed architectures

• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments

• Professional proficiency in English.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Amazon Bedrock, Foundation Models, Knowledge Bases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-based AI architectures

• AWS cloud services including Lambda, ECS, Fargate, RDS, IAM, and Step Functions

• IaC using Terraform and cloud-native architecture design principles

• Python development, REST API design, service integration, and modern software engineering practices

• Git, version control, and collaborative development methodologies

• Strong understanding of scalability, security, performance, and maintainability within AWS environments

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Nice to Have

• French language skills

• Amazon Cognito, AWS security and networking, and CI/CD automation for cloud and AI applications

• Snowflake, vector databases, semantic search, and enterprise data integration

• LLM evaluation, monitoring, observability, and AI application governance

• Docker, containerisation, and experience deploying distributed cloud solutions

• Experience industrialising AI and Machine Learning solutions from PoC to production

• AWS certifications

• Experience in consulting or client-facing environments

• Bottom of the range
  You meet the core requirements and will need ramp-up time and support.

• Middle of the range
  You are fully autonomous from Day 1 and deliver consistently.

• Top of the range
  You are a reference for the role, mentor others, and raise the bar for the team.

Final offers are based on experience, autonomy, scope, and market context, and are discussed transparently during the process.
