Job Summary
Keyrus is seeking a Data Manager who will ensure the quality, consistency, and governance of data throughout the deployment of the Pwise e-procurement solution.
This role involves supervising a team of Data Stewards, collaborating with upstream design teams, and engaging with business units to guarantee that all data aligns with functional, technical, and organisational requirements.
The Data Manager serves as both a leader and hands-on contributor, ensuring data readiness, identifying risks, optimising processes, and driving continuous improvement across data collection and validation activities.
This position is a hybrid position in Lisbon.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with upstream design teams to understand expected data processing flows and business logic.
- Supervise, mentor, and support Data Stewards in their data collection and quality assurance tasks.
- Develop project planning and workload estimates based on data volumes, complexity, and risk analysis.
- Actively participate in data collection and validation, stepping in as a Data Collector/Steward when needed.
- Detect data quality issues early and coordinate corrective actions with business stakeholders.
- Propose process improvements for data collection tools, templates, and procedures, ensuring efficiency and usability.
- Communicate challenges faced by business units and suggest actionable enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with business rules, functional repositories, and shared data standards, including integrations with other systems.
- Promote a culture of data quality across all contributors and ensure alignment with governance expectations.
Requirements for the role
- Strong understanding of data quality principles and their system-wide impact (e.g., differences such as 1234 vs. 01234).
- Ability to understand the business purpose of data, its downstream effects, and its operational importance.
- High level of rigour, precision, and ability to conduct thorough data checks.
- Experience working within large organisations, with an understanding of dependencies, risks, deadlines, and cross-team coordination.
- Dynamic, proactive, and communicative mindset, comfortable engaging with users to understand issues and propose solutions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and navigate a data model (structures, relationships, constraints).
- Fluent French (spoken and written) for complex interactions with business stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
