Job Summary 

Keyrus is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in IFS ERP systems and real-time data integration. The successful candidate will design, build, and optimise modern data pipelines and architectures that enable seamless, real-time data flow between enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and analytics environments.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for both real-time and batch integrations.
• Lead data integration initiatives involving IFS Applications, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange across enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Implement and manage streaming data architectures for real-time insights.
• Optimize data workflows for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
• Support data modeling, warehousing, and API-based integrations with enterprise systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.

Requirements for the role 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on real-time data integration and enterprise system integration.
• Hands-on experience with IFS Applications (IFS Connect, Data Migration tools, APIs, or IFS Cloud).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar).
• Experience with streaming and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs).
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English
• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal

Nice to have

• Experience with IFS Cloud or IFS ERP integrations in manufacturing, asset management, or service-based industries.
• Knowledge of API management, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Certifications in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) or Data Engineering.
