Job Summary
Keyrus is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in IFS ERP systems and real-time data integration. The successful candidate will design, build, and optimise modern data pipelines and architectures that enable seamless, real-time data flow between enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and analytics environments.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions. This position is fully remote

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for both real-time and batch integrations.
- Lead data integration initiatives involving IFS Applications, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange across enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Implement and manage streaming data architectures for real-time insights.
- Optimize data workflows for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
- Support data modeling, warehousing, and API-based integrations with enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.
Requirements for the role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on real-time data integration and enterprise system integration.
- Hands-on experience with IFS Applications (IFS Connect, Data Migration tools, APIs, or IFS Cloud).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar).
- Experience with streaming and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs).
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English
- Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
Nice to have
- Experience with IFS Cloud or IFS ERP integrations in manufacturing, asset management, or service-based industries.
- Knowledge of API management, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Certifications in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) or Data Engineering.
