Job Summary
Keyrus is seeking a highly experienced Senior Alteryx Architect / Consultant to lead the design and implementation of an advanced External Retrocession Solution for a key financial services client. This role demands both deep technical expertise in Alteryx (Cloud and on-prem) and strong architectural vision, with a focus on building robust, scalable data pipelines and workflows to support actuarial and financial processes.
You will act as a senior technical lead within a cross-functional team, working closely with UI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver demos, pilots, and production-ready solutions in an agile environment.

Responsabilities
- Lead the architecture and end-to-end design of Alteryx-based solutions, with a focus on Cloud and enterprise deployment.
- Build and optimise Alteryx workflows to support external rate calculations for proportional and non-proportional reinsurance treaties.
- Develop robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless ingestion, transformation, and loading of data from external sources into Snowflake.
- Translate complex treaty logic (e.g., underwriting vs. accident year, excess-of-loss) into automated, maintainable workflows.
- Ensure effective integration between Alteryx Cloud, Snowflake, and the frontend UI for real-time calculation and processing.
- Collaborate with UI teams to address challenges such as multi-user access, token handling, and trigger-based workflow execution.
- Support proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilots, and demos to validate technical approaches with stakeholders.
- Deliver a scalable MVP and contribute to iterative enhancement of the platform.
- Provide clear documentation, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve workflow performance.
Requirements for the role
- 5+ years of experience with Alteryx, with hands-on work across all key modules, particularly Alteryx Cloud.
- Proven experience in end-to-end solution architecture and scaling Alteryx implementations in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of data pipelines, workflow automation, and data transformation best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Strong understanding of data integration between platforms and real-time data processing.
- Excellent communication skills; able to clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with stakeholder management, including presenting demos, leading technical discussions, and managing expectations.
- Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Background in insurance, reinsurance, or financial data domains is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in English
- Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
