Job Summary
Keyrus is looking for a Data Consultant with hands-on experience in data observability, quality monitoring, and tactical data product development, to support a key initiative around Solvency II regulatory reporting.
This is a high-impact, tactical role where you’ll define and implement observability KPIs and pipelines using Splunk as the core monitoring platform.
You’ll work closely with reporting and governance teams to instrument data pipelines, detect quality issues early, and provide visibility into data health across the regulatory reporting lifecycle.
You won’t be building yet another dashboard — you’ll define what matters, how to monitor it, and where to plug in alerts, even in a constrained tech environment.
Note: All applications/CV’s must be submitted in English.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement key observability metrics: data freshness, completeness, delays, anomalies, schema drift, null density, etc.
- Build tactical monitoring solutions using Splunk to surface real-time data quality signals.
- Collaborate with data owners and reporting teams to identify high-risk points in the regulatory data flow.
- Write technical specs for monitoring logic; prototype and validate alerting thresholds.
- Define a minimal viable data product for observability to be used in the interim until the new data governance solution is rolled out.
- Translate regulatory data quality needs (e.g., under Solvency II) into concrete monitoring requirements.
Requirements for the role
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Quality, Engineering, DataOps, or Data Governance roles.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with data quality monitoring (e.g., custom checks, anomaly detection, job observability).
- Experience with Splunk, or similar tools (e.g., ELK, Grafana, Prometheus) for logs/metrics/alerting in a data context.
- Good understanding of data quality frameworks (DQ dimensions, root cause, lineage-based checks).
- Experience working on regulatory reporting systems (Solvency II, IFRS17, BCBS 239) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with modern data stack concepts (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Snowflake) is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
What we offer at Keyrus Portugal:
- Competitive salary based on your skills & experience and according to the Data market practice
- Meal allowance of €8.32 per day
- Flexible benefits option
- Private Medical Insurance
- 22 days of annual leave (increasing every 3 years up to a maximum of 25 days)
- Training Program through KLX (Keyrus Learning Experience) Platform
