Job Summary
Keyrus is seeking an experienced Observability Architect to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of observability solutions across IT Market Services. In this role, you will collaborate with development, operations, security, and platform teams to ensure robust logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
You’ll define observability standards, champion best practices, drive automation efforts, and help build a thriving community of practice around observability and system operability.
This position is Hybrid in Porto.

Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate and enhance observability across systems and applications, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
- Integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycles through collaboration with DevOps, development, and security teams.
- Lead and foster a “Community of Practice” centered on observability and application operability.
- Automate observability deployment processes in partnership with DevOps and Platform Support teams.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, processes, and best practices using tools like Confluence and Git.
- Define and enforce observability standards across teams and services.
- Evaluate, implement, and recommend observability tools and frameworks aligned with performance, reliability, and security goals.
- Analyze system performance data to detect trends, identify anomalies, and drive performance improvements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and provide leadership in observability strategy and execution.
Requirements for the role
- Proven experience as an Observability Architect or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of observability concepts and best practices.
- Expert-level knowledge of Grafana and Fluent Bit, along with advanced experience using Coralogix.
- Hands-on experience with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Familiarity with tracing frameworks such as OpenTelemetry or Jaeger.
- Experience with alerting systems like LogicMonitor or Nagios.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Linux environments and Ansible for configuration management.
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices, including Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Follow security best practices in observability, particularly regarding data privacy, authentication, and access control.
- Fluent in English
- Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
