Job Summary 

Keyrus is looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer. The ideal candidate embodies technical prowess in transforming our network operations through automation, scripting, and innovative NetOps/GitOps practices.

This position is remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure network availability and performance; execute repair actions in collaboration with internal teams.
• Develop and enhance automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code principles using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripting.
• Drive end-to-end project delivery, covering design, implementation, and operational management.
• Take ownership of platform operations, including vendor management, forecasting, licensing, and upgrades.
• Monitor network systems, perform root cause analysis, and execute performance optimization.
• Maintain updated documentation and mentor colleagues to foster team growth.
• Participate in guard duty service for 24/7 organizational support.

Requirements for the role 

• Master’s degree in Electronics, Informatics, or Telecommunications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network and security design, delivery, and operations.
• Expertise in at least two platforms: Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus, F5, Checkpoint, Gigamon.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for network automation 
• Familiarity with programmable interfaces (e.g., RESTful APIs, Netconf/YANG).
• Experience with CI/CD processes (automated testing, version control).
• Fluent in English
• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal

Good to have

• Knowledge of modern monitoring solutions (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Splunk).
• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code implementation.
• Familiarity with VMware environments and ITIL Service Operation frameworks.
• Background in Telecom or Internet Service Provider environments is a strong plus.
