Job Summary 

Keyrus is looking for a Senior Java Developer to work on a project in the Compliance, department. We value individuals who are detail-oriented, independent contributors with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring that together, we continue to transform possibilities into reality.

This position is Hybrid in Porto. (3 days/week at the office)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop functional applications from storyboards and use cases.
• Design, write, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and reusable code.
• Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to align with business goals and delivery schedules.
• Quickly resolve client issues, maintaining SLA commitments.
• Conduct code reviews, enhance feature designs, and ensure quality across deliverables.
• Document technical debt and improvement areas for priority-setting.
• Implement a robust documentation system for knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
• Follow Agile Scrum practices throughout development.

Requirements for the role 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development, with in-depth knowledge of the latest Java versions and expertise in Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of AWS, MS microservices architecture, and design patterns.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies, especially React.js or Angular, is highly desirable.
• Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL databases is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of API security best practices and data privacy.
• Skilled in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Comfortable with DevOps practices, including configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deployment patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
• Fluent in English
• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
