This is the opportunity to join a new team, for a major investment banking institution who are about to commence an Enterprise Digital and Data Transformation. We are looking for a multiskilled, flexible Cloud Data Engineer who can develop and construct data products and services and integrate them into systems and business processes. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and organize raw data
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Build data pipelines to convert the raw data into data products using ETL / ELT tools
• Manage data, metadata and pipeline stability
• Work with data analytics experts and SME to strive for greater functionality in our data system
• Work with Stakeholders including Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data related technical issues and support their data engineering needs

Must Have Skills:

• Between 5 and 10 years of experience in similar roles
• Proficient in writing complex SQL, Stored Procedures
• Expert in AWS architecture, warehouse implementation and management, Azure is strong plus
• Working experience of cloud computing architecture
• Intermediate / Expert Level in Python and PySpark Programming
• Git VCS hands-on
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow
• Proficient in performing root cause analysis of existing models and proposing a solution
• Devops experience using Github ops
• Strong time management skills: efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
• Must be a Portuguese OR European citizen with a valid work permit
• Must be willing to relocate to Portugal OR Spain




Desired Skills:

• Knowledge in tools such as PySpark / Python
• Knowledge of Snowflake is a plus
